Little battery problem

Some times my battery power from my 500 just snaps of and it turns off.
I cant get it on then without wall power.
Most of the time it goes away if i shake it a little bit or just wait for a hour (dammm thats long...)
Is it a typical problem for the 500?
Is there a easy way to solve it i just really dont know why it happens

I use rechargeables, but run with the back light off. Usually when they are about to go dead, the MPC starts actin up.. I usually take it as a warning, save my work, then recharge. If I continue, it shuts off.

I've never had that happen with fresh batteries.

Be careful if you shake the MPC, there are these little metal clips inside that hold the 1/4" jacks in place.. They come loose pretty easy and will rattle around, possibly causing a short or other damage. One came loose from constantly transporting the machine from place to place. Slips right back in.

I've heard of people sticking batterys in the freezer to recharge em, but thats a case for mythbusters to solve.

I really started to worry i thaugt it was something only my mpc has and that i have to take it back to akai.
Which i cant because i have glow in the dark green pads.(really nice for in the evening)
Now i know i just have to replace those not yet compleetly drowned battery's

Yea, they still work good in remote controls, wireless mouse etc.. Theres usually enough juice left in em for smaller things, I did notice that.

Freeze your rechargeable batteries for long term storage to preserve the life of them, not to get more 'juice' out of them. You'll just wear them down faster and they won't last as long. Plus it's a good idea to get a recharge station that will power cycle them (ie, drain them and then recharge them) for maximum life.
