Your 500 Styleflip Design!

MPC560 - Roger Linn Signature Series (Concept)

I was on styleflip the other day, and decided to design a 500 with a more "Classic" look, instead of a flashy design.

Stole the look of the MPC60, and even added the Roger Linn signature (Yea I know its corny, but I couldn't help myself LOL).

Added 2 throwbacks to the 2000 - The grey around the Full Level, and the Outline around the slider.

This is just a "Concept" and I don't actually have this. The wood was added digitally in PS.

I've seen wooden sides, and that looked fairly simple. I am yet to see anyone encase the 500 in wood like in the pic.

By trade, I'm a carpenter, and I have to say, it won't be an easy task, but it's definitely possible. The bevel on the front of the 500 would be the tricky part.

If you mass produce em I want a cut!!

I'd make one for the 1000 but I want to see your design.

Here's a tip: Open Paint, Gimp, or PS and save a square or rectangle of a solid color (White, Blue, Grey). Now import those images into styleflip and re-size as needed. easy.

I did wood sides for my 500 a couple of years ago, the pic is in the custom 500 thread. I remember finding wooden molding to match the 500 at Home Depot. Sadly that was the 500 attacked by rats. I had big plans at the time to custom make my 500 to look like an old record player and was gonna make a wooden box to fit the parts in, but I had some issues with a female at the time and that got trashed. But looking at that pic, makes me want to finish the job.
