How does midi thru work with the MPC500?

I'm posting up a storm today, trying to figure out which MPC is right for me. I obviously want to spend the last money possible, and since I'm mainly going to be using it for beats and sequencing a synth (I dont make hip hop so I don't need to cut up samples), the MPC500 may be a viable option.

My question is how I would use it with an Axiom MIDI Controller and a Waldorf Blofeld synth module?

Obviously I'd kick the keyboard to the Ins of the 500 and 500 Out to the Blofeld. But if I had the knobs, sliders, etc. linked to different CCs and parameters in the Blofeld, will I be able to sequence all of that into the MPC even though there is no MIDI Thru? Typing this, I realize this is a really stupid question, but I want to be certain before I purchase anything. If my Axiom and Blofeld are already setup together, all of the data I record into the MPC will just be directly transmitted from the MIDI OUT into the Blofeld right?

You can set the Midi Out as a Soft Thru. I would like to see an answer to your question too because I recently picked up an MPC500 and can't figure out how to get the damn thing to trigger my other sampler, so I'm lost on how and what MIDI is transmitted with these machines and your question has some of the same elements in regards to where my problem has come from.

I use my 500 with my Motif es rack like this
Midi out of the 500 to midi in to the Motif
Midi in to the 500 to midi out of the controller
Now i dont know anything about your synth,but with the motif i make what is called a multi preset,
and all my params for the synth stuff is save in there,all my drums params are saved on the 500

So when i go back to work on that project,i just reload them on the 500 and the motif, and everything is just as i left it....
