After converting a song into a new sequence, can you assign that new sequence to a pad? If so, would I have to hold down the "next" button every time I wanted to switch pads containing the new sequence or would I have to use the scroll wheel? Thank you for your time.

Read the manual on Recording the Main Outs. There you can record the sequence into a sample and assign it to a pad.

Make sure you have enough RAM, the stock is only 3 minutes of sample time. If you have the 128 RAM chip installed then you'll have 20 minutes of sample time to record. So beware, before you start putting songs on the pads.

So you cannot save the MIDI data when you convert the song back into a sequence (like on the MPC 1000) because you have created a new sample. But I guess you could add the MIDI data after you have created the new sample? Thanks for the response and your time.
