Newbie Question

bought a new scandisk 2 gig card but my mpc 500 wont read it as it wot format it or save samples to it
any got any ideas

i got a sandisk ultra II 15MB/s 2 GB and that works perfect!!!

I used to have a 500. You shouldnt have to do anything in particular for the mpc 500 to read the card.
If the worst comes to the worst you could put it in your PC and re-format it.
Then try it in the mpc (put the card in first then switch the unit on).
If you re-format the card in your pc - you could try copying over a wav file over to the the card and see if it plays.
In my experience mpcs have tended to be quite lenient with cf cards.
