Saving a new sequence

Hi guys,

I JUST bought a MPC 500 and I'm struggling to save a new sequence that I created.

I haven't programmed any beats/sounds on it. Just changed the tempo/name of the sequence/ length of the sequence.

(Basically) I need to sync via MIDI the MPC500 with a Electro Harmonix 2880, and then play a few samples that I would have uploaded on the MPC500.

_Am I doing anything wrong? and if so, could you please let me know what I could possibly do to make it work?
_ Could the reason I can't save the sequence come from the fact that I haven't uploaded the samples on the MPC500 yet?

hi...

to play via midi the 2880 being the 500 master i would try to set on the midi menu "master", and on track 1 i would assign a midi channel... 1 for example (to do that go to track parameters).

connect mpc's midi out in 2880's midi in, and 2880 midi out in 500's in.

be sure to be in track one and start recording a seq, and play your 2880.

after the seq stop recording your 2880 should start magically playing by himself, like it was a fairy tail.

now you should also assign you samples to pads.

go to track 2 and record a seq with pad.

if you play your mpc and every audio out is fine everything must be working... the dream came true ^^

now you have a program: track one plays midi and tracks two plays samples.

go to the save menu, create a new folder, name it however you want, and inside it save entire memory project...

i had an electro armonix looper once, but this one is massive

We decided not to go through the MPC500 but are running Logic (for click track) and audio interface (for MIDI sync)..

Now new (even more stupid) question.

I need to upload samples of claps/bass drums/snares that are on the recordings to play them live.

SONG #1 claps/bass drums/ snare
SONG #2 different claps/ different bass drums
etc.....

In which section do I sample those (1second) samples?

Do I create a "SEQUENCE" for each of our songs? and then if I change in between songs to a different sequence, will it play Samples for Sequence #2?
