Hello, I'm having a problem and I'm hoping someone out there can shed some light on what might have happened.
I'm very careful to listen to my entire sequences and check that everything is in order before saving. I always use 'save entire mem. to AUTOLOAD'. I powered up the 500 today and a bunch of my samples were missing. In 3 programs, all samples are gone; about 20 samples total. All my other program's samples, as well as all sequence data is intact. When scrolling though the sample assignments in the affected programs, the names of the missing samples remain, but with a ? question mark next to the name.
In the session previous, I was working on adding notes to a sequence with step edit, and thats all. Didn't record any samples or mess around with those particular programs.
Is this ringing a bell with anyone? I don't know what the problem could be. I have the latest OS. "Status" button reads wav:57%, sq:94%. I'm not supposing this could be a RAM problem, correct? I have a 128 mb chip in there.
I just re-recorded all the missing samples, placed them in their their former locations, and my sequences now play like they should, as all sequence data was not affected. But it was a total pain to do, and now I'm worried this will happen again.
Thanks in advance!
