Samples recorded in sequence replaced by different sound whe

I record a a track in a sequence, say using a snare drum but when played back the sound that is triggered is now my kick drum. I tried several times, clearing all samples and starting from scratch but keeps happening. Can someone please help?

Thanks for the response. No, I'm loading 3 to 6 samples on separate pads. Example A1-kick, A2-snare, A3-hihat. Will record hats on track 3. Then record kick on track 1. Both will play properly. I will then record snare on track 2. The snare sounds when recording, however when played back the notes that should be snare now sound on the kick. Tried clearing all samples and starting over but still the same. Puzzling. Probably something simple I'm missing. Thanks for any help.
