another noob question

wadup again!

got my 500 and im mad happy with it. 1 thing that pisses me off is that my mixer for my turntables is only a 2 channel. so when im ripping a sample from wax iv gotta have the RCA's in the record slots of the mixer to get any signal input, then to play the sample back to hear if its any good i gota **** around and switch the cables back to the channel slot. my question being should i get a better dj mixer or trade my old ass drum machine for a 3 channel stu?dio mixer and hook everything upto that (if thatl even help)

I don't use a hardware mixer since everything runs through my PC. So I may not understand what you're trying to do. But it seems like if you're running your turntables successfully into your 500 through your mixer, then you should be able to monitor the sound directly from your 500.
