All the buttons on my MPC500 are not responing!

Im not terribly new to the MPC so i did try a power cycle and holding erase/undo while powering it on to see if that would work bringing it back to factory settings. Nothing. So when i turn it on the cursor automaticaly defaults to the tempo when it shoud default to the track. Then after start up is complete i cant move the flashing cursor hit mode or anything everything is not responding. Did i remove the OS or what is going on??
