MPC500 is good choise for total amateur?

Hello. I would bought a MPC, but I would not issue too much money for MPC with things, which I will not be using. I won't become a superstar in few years, so I don't need a super MPC. But I would not using a PC in producig a beats. So MPC500 is good choise, maybe better was be take a MPC1000?

500 is good. I have one. Upgrade the pads if you can. Also consider a cheap MPC 1000. They are almost as affordable.

I recently purchased MPC500 and had the same questions.
Now I'm very happy owner of this MPC and say that you could do a lot with, in the end it's you not your gear that produce good music.

mpc500 is nice for the price and it's the only mpc that can run on batteries if that's a feature you would ever need... but if you plan going beyond the basics of beat making and want to get deeper into production, that little bit of extra $$$ that it would cost for you to get a used mpc1000 with JJOS on it instead will go a long way... there are dudes on here that make fire with the mpc500 though, so don't get the wrong idea... but when it comes to things like tracking a beat out as separate tracks into your computer, the mpc1000 is much nicer to work with...

Iv had mine for about 3 months and it's dope. The thing I'd say before purchasing 500 is don't be a b***h and give up. They all take time to learn maybe the 500 a lil more but man will triumph the machine. You gonna do it then commit. Exit terminator reference
