low level recordings in Audacity

I have my MPC main outs plugged into my m-audio interface, MPC main volume turn almost to max to avoid clipping but i have a very low recorded volume. i used normalize in Audacity but that didnt help much. any suggestions?...

If normalize doesn't get the volume up, compress or give it some limiter to get the volume up. Maybe the source samples are at a low volume and you have some ambient noise or lots of low pass filtering was used?

btw... let me know what you think about your new ears when you get em. I've been thinking about getting some but I don't know if they are really gonna give me that sound I've been looking for.

Alright try that when i get home..., I'll also try mixing more in the MPC lowering the drums a bit maybe i can turn the overall volume up and still avoid clipping

p.s. i got over night shipping so i'll let you know about my set of ears when they come in jeppers creepers style lol thanks for the tip thou...
