I think you're the only poster I've seen here that reported on a 64GB in the front slot. Others have posted in the past about 16 and 32GB ones but usually in a the HD slot as a CF "internal" drive of sorts.

It's never fully determined on this forum what the actual limit is. Some say 4GB other mention 8 and 16GB. And of course you for a while had the 32GB working.

I don't have a clue but maybe even though it formats the 64GB it encounters problems after save a certain amount of files. (8, 16GB maybe?)

Although I'm scared you'll say "nope less than a GB..."

Wish I could help, my reply isn't much help beyond bumping your thread and hopefully someone else with experience with 332 or 64GB can help.

Thanks for the reply.

Actually I must apologize I forgot this was a 500 thread. I was referring to 32GB CF cards in modified HD trays on 1000's.

But releasing around the same time, the 500/1000/2500 all cause confusion if 4GB is the actually limit or is it less reliable if the machine does format 8,16 or 32GB.

Maybe the CF card memory table being a larger read on a 32 or 64GB makes some possible wonky behavior. I'm only saying that based on being a PC nerd though. Like if your folders show up and it formatted right, you aren't left with a lot of guesses at what would cause a corruption or "blank" read.

Anyway glad you got it in effect in again. :)

I do remember reading about problems with the pin alignment in the card slot. Otherwise, try making a backup on your computer and then re-format the CF card.

Yeah, 64GB is too big for the 500 to handle. 4GB is the max I believe. I use 1GB and its hardly filled. And there's recordings on there. But who gives a rat's ass, right pal!
