Hi there,
MPC500 with jumbo pads + 128mb expansion; no other mods. Running 1.31.
I am working with some samples I recorded from vinyl. When I assign a sample to pads A1-A3 and attempt to record a sequence, pad A2 triggers pad A1's sample in the recorded track.
For example:
A1 - Intro loop
A2 - Kick drum
A3 - Snare drum
If I am recording using pads A2-A3 only, what comes out is a track that seems like I was using pads A1 and A3 only; essentially pad A2 triggers pad A1 during the recording.
There are two odd things about this:
1. When I play "live" with pads A1-A3, A2 triggers A2; not A1 as it does during recording. This helps me rule out the fact that there is a physical issue with the jumbo pads.
2. When I load up other programs, this doesn't happen. It only seems to be happening with my new samples that I recorded.
Looked in the forums but didn't see this particular issue. Am I missing a setting on something?
