Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

My 500 is brand new and it does the same thing--the green q-link LED lights up dimly along with whatever the full levels LED is doing. I don't know if you can really rule out underglow though; there may be some sort of path for the light to travel across in that direction but not down to the rec/play lights.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry about the posting mix up, couldn't find a way to move the post over to this forum. Anyways, thanks again for confirming the behavior. I did think about that, like if somehow the leds that weren't lighting up dimly may be shielded or something like that. I plan to put different colored pads in the unit fairly soon, so I should be able to view the inside, and then maybe get a better idea if thats whats going on. I'll also take a multi meter to the backs of the LEDs and see if they are getting any current when they come on dim. That will pretty much settle it; if there is current and no shielding, then its a stray voltage issue, and if theres no current and maybe some type of path or shielding, then its most likely under-glow.
Either way, it really shouldn't make too much of a difference. I guess you can think of the stray voltage issue being a little more serious, but it really doesn't mean a thing, just some shoddy product design/testing. Main point is that the unit works, and can still be used for what its intended purpose is.
