Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Is it possible to select the left/right channel of a recorded stereo sample? When I have access to a computer I tend to load everything I need into it quickly and then do all the work on the mpc. But right now I have this sample that has a piano hard panned to the right and only noise and fingersnap on the left. I cant seem to find a way to select the right channel only. Also the mono L recording doesnt seem to work when recording from the main out (even though it wouldnt help in this case). Is there a solution to my problem? Muting one channel would be ideal though making both channels a single mono channel would be ok too.

Thanks

Managed to find some kind of workaround if anyones interested. I panned the sample hard right, lined the output to the left input and recorded in left input from "external source". Sorta diminished the left channel.

Yup, thats pretty much it some way.

Or you sample the source as Mono into the left Input but sample only the Right output of the source. Don't even plug the other jack into the 500.
