Basically I've been playing beats that sound smooth when I play them live but when I record them onto the MPC 500's sequencer I play them back and they sound choppy and out of time. I've tried using different timing correct settings, turning timing correct off and changing the amount of swing but the beats still don't sound right. There must be some small, simple thing I'm missing out on what is it?
