mpc500 - midi out problem

hello please need help.
i recently bought one of usb 2.0 midi interface cable to hook up my mpc 500 with pc, first time i connected and configured midi preferences everything worked perfect. second time i tried same thing, my mpc not sending midi out to usb interface.

so i tried some experiments with no luck:
mpc midi out to usb midi no reaction
midi in from usb midi out works
mpc midi out to microkorg midi in works
mpc midi in from microkorg midi out works
usb midi in and out with microkorg also works

so microkorg with usb midi works
mpc with that same wire not sending any midi data, but it works perfect when i sending midi out to microkorg. so whats can be the problem? if it worked first time and after that no midi out signal to usb interface??
tried all machines using channel 1 tried use different channels, and none :/

The USB interface is only for file transfer and does not in anyway do midi. So there is your problem

cable tested with other gear it works fine and mpc sends midi out 5din to other gear but not to computer

Have you set the track to midi? and you say set to midi channel one? two things you want to try and get is midi clock and also midi notes. So set up microkorg and daw so microkorg is like midi controller and you get notes in your daw from you playing microkorg, like a controller
Now swap microkorg to mpc and only do the input to daw so mpc just has midi out. Now set to midi track and make track the same as the microkorg, (look at microkorgs settings to see channel) and you should get notes when you hit the pad.

If not then its a daw setting maybe.

yea i tried send note (5din midi out not usb) to daw, daw recieving note from microkorg and sending it to mpc - done, tried mpc recieve midi signal, but when trying to send note, daw not recieve it when i hit the pad (but when i connect midi cable with same settings to microkorg it sounds when i hit the pad) MAYBE IS SOME ISSUES WITH THAT USB CABLE? i really have no more ideas

connect the in to the out on the computer interface. can the computer send to itself? check that first.

my friend has that same cable and it doesnt work with the 500 as far as i know we tried everything , need a better cable like aleisis usb midi cable http://alesis.com/usbmidicable
