why is my output very low audio quality?

I'm novice level. Starting first sample recordings and output audio is very low quality. PC volume level is 95%, software Spotify Pro volume is at 95%, recording gain on MPC about 85%, input on mpc is set to line, I have quality cables.

Is there an internal setting I need to adjust? Getting into the manual and youtube now but figured this is the right place to ask.

after recording the sample try normalizing it, that will bring the level up.

Check out/adjust the Master Level maybe.

That was the exact problem. Thank you. This was an ebay buy and set to the lowest level. Looking forward to starting my library.

If you want to make sure this doesn't happen again with other saved global settings, you can initialize your MPC to it's factory default settings. Look in the manual, same chapter, next page.
