setting seperate swing values for different tracks

hey, i just got my first mpc, its a 500 and i'm quite liking it so far. anyways i am trying to set different swing settings for a certain tracks (more swing on the hi hat track) but every time i set the swing value in the timing correction menu it affects the whole sequence (also the snares and kicks). what am i doing wrong?

ok so i think the timing correction affects the program not the tracks separately? that would make sense because all of my drums are in the same program. i have the manual but i guess i'm just stupid

Swing either affects a single pad, a single track or all tracks, depending on the settings in the t.c. window...

EDIT: I´ve realized that you are using the 500. Seems as if swing works differently to the other MPC models.

From the manual:

When 1/8th, 1/16th or 1/32 is selected, you can set the swing value in the 'Swing%' field. With the swing feature, the even
numbered events set in the 'Note value' field will be off the rhythm according to the value in the 'Swing%' field. With this feature
you can create the shuffle groove.

It is not affecting the program as a whole but rather a performance or (pads triggered). If you want different quantization/swing settings for each one of those drum sounds It would help to record them individually to separate tracks.

Adjust swing and quantization settings before recording each individual sound on its very own track.

The timing correct button only works in this way by setting it prior to recording a performance.

Can also look into fixing timing issues after recording in the SEQ EDIT mode
