Samples Won't Play After Loading

So I'm new to this and I've gone through the manuals and YouTube and several other sites.

I connected my MPC to my computer through my USB and made folders with different samples. I'm able to hear the samples as I'm loading them and assigning them to a pad, but after that they don't seem to work. I tried checking to make sure they aren't muted or anything but it's not the case.

If anyone could help me out it would really really be appreciated

i'd take a guess that you are trying to load 24bit samples.

samples MUST be 16bit wav!
