The MPC500 option is there in the Preferences menu. Read The Friendly Manual on page 4.

Are you sure you got an updated version of MPC Maid?

Hey Folks,

I am having trouble with drag and drop .wav files to the MPC Maid program.

I just installed the latest JAVA as well as what I'm assuming is the newest version of the MPC Maid software.

I'm running a 64bit Win 7 Machine

Any help out there? I also cannot seem to view the PDF manual

Are the wav files 24bit? If they are 24bit they won't work with the MPC Maid program.
On page 7 of the manual:
"MPC Maid offers a small slice editor to chop loops into their beats quickly: just drag and drop a loop in .WAV format (16 bits 44.1KHz preferably) into the center of the screen:"

I am having the same issue as the person who originally posted this but there is nowhere on my screen that shows a preference menu. Ive looked to for the most recent update and it says from 2009, am I missing something?

I just got an MPC500 and had the same problem, I solved installing this (version 8 for Mac) instead of the oracle Java SDK

https://adoptopenjdk.net/

Yet I can't use the chopping function because the cursor is stuck in the input field and I can't use the keyboard shortcuts, if someone solves this please let me know!

Thank you, I’ll try this out!

Just found a solution to the chop slices function, just hit TAB and the cursor will exit the "files prefix" input field and you can use the keyboard shortcuts to work with the chopping tool!

So MPC Maid fully working on Mac OS Catalina 8)
