Yeah you can, try it out yourself.

If you mean with the 16mb of memory, sure... but if you mean without any memory in the slot... I'm not so sure.

I always buy the 256mb one, even if the MPC can only read 128 of it.

I have had problems with some of the 128mb modules and considering 256 costs the same, I stick with that.
