Hey everyone,
New to the MPC 500, however i've been producing for some time now just haven't really used a MPC before this week.
I bought my MPC 500 secondhand, and everything seems to be in working order, however I am unable to properly save my songs, samples, programs and sequences. I followed the manual and advice from people online and my results are inconclusive.
However I do have some ideas to what might be the problem.
When trying to connect to the computer, my MacBook wouldn't recognise the CF card at all. I used multiple computers as well and it led me to believe the problem might be with the CF card or the slot reader (there aren't any bent pins but it might be the case. I was unable to format the card that came with the device since I don't think it evens recognises it on the MPC. I am going to buy another CF card this week and a reader hopefully to test it out.
Also is there a way to create new folders on the MPC itself? I wasn't able to find a way, something im overlooking?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
