Hi guys and girls,
I have a major problem when setting up my mpc500 as a slave. This could also be the case with other midi type settings but in this case I noticed it when using it as a slave.
All the settings in the mpc500 are correct and so are the settings in my Roland R8 which i want to use as my master.
Whenever I just start up the mpc and the R8 it shows -ext- and plays with the r8 for maybe a few seconds and then it cuts of again (the timing doesn’t seem too run accordingly either). And this keeps on happening.
I have also tried it with a mpc1000 and then it works how it should playing along with the R8.
I must admit that the mpc500 had been lying Dormant for a few years before using it again.
Does anybody know what the problem could be? Is it a hard ware or software issue?(now running on 1.31)
Any help would be much appreciated.
