trouble trimming / looping

so I was successful yesterday in taking a drum loop and trimming the first bar off the sample and looping the remaining. Today not so good. I can't seem to make sense of what I'm hearing. It's not behaving in a way that I would expect.

I think I'm on the 1.31 OS.

Someone out there help! haha

Someone who knows how to do what I'm trying to do.

When I had the 500, I did all my sample chopping on the computer & then transferred everything I need to the CF card via the usb connection - found my workflow much more productive doing it all that way!

I used (still do!) Cool Edit Pro, but any basic audio editor wil do that job - Audacity etc.

Probably would help dramatically if you could explain what you're trying to do. I'm old, and my Jedi mind reading tricks are feeble.

Shout out to Peter Quistgard.
He got it poppin in the 90’s.

Been using that same program for 20+ years solid now, never found any reason to upgrade or change - does everything I need it to do outside of the DAW, hopefully I'll get another 10 years out of it!
