Question on MPC 500

Quick question: can it play keygroups from other Akai sample libraries? Like basses, organs... not loops, I mean real note keygroups.

I swear I've been looking online for the answer and all I see is people chopping loops and a few white European kids on YouTube speaking as if they were black guys from a 90s gangsta movie, knowhatinsayn...

No keygroups, you have to just map samples to pads in DRUM programs and manually tune up and down

Ok, that's why I couldn't see anyone mentioning them...

Thanks Tutor. I guess there's no portable sampler that can play one or two MIDI keygroups along with usual drum tracks.

The 500 came with some multisample programs, and years ago I bought some multi sampled instruments from Tutors webshop for the 1000/2500 that I also use for the 500, although you do come one octave short. It's far from ideal or close to key groups, but you definitely can get some multisampled instrumentation going.
