have you seen the manual? i really wanna know what the features are like..

Yes. The screen is tiny. You have to go through a couple menus to see few things that are normally on the screen of a 1000/2000, but in just a couple minutes i had gotten used to that. i mean..this thing was obviously made mainly for portability...i've already got a 1000 and a 2000, so there is no way this thing would become my main mpc. But it sure is fun to carry around! As for the manual, i have not read it yet. I was able to do
all the basic functions without cracking it. I will read it when i get more time.

thats crazy!

I would definately consider this if it wasnt $799.

How do the pads and build feel in comparison to the 1k? the body looks pretty solid..

They seem to kinda feel like the 1k.

I'll buy one simply because it is battery powered... looks great. Did it add anything new...or simply subtract? How many tracks for Midi? Is there a CF Card? Also, can you stack samples?

dude, batteries are whack, give it a charger and rechargable battery and it would be nice

theres no way id buy that - i might have a dilemma if it was £100

and stop making new machines, fix the 1k bugs pls

Ok, this if stupid. 'Nukai' is supossibly has/had/going to have:

MPC 60/60 II
MPC 500
MPC 1000
MPC 2000/2000XL
MPC 2500
MPC 3000
MPC 3500
MPC 4000

Damn. I mean Damn, that's a whooollleee lot of MPCs. I really don't understand why they release new products instead of making what they have better (Actually, I do, but that's not the point).

those are def. 1k pads - which means presumably that they glued them better the 2nd time around since they were aware of the problem to begin with
