does your mpc 500 replace your previous model?

nope, i use whatever i feel like using, im mostly on my 1000 because its so much faster with the waveform edit, but when i feel like i have a lot of time and patience for chopping, i work with the 500...

I agree totally. The bigger mpc's just do more. I love my 500 and I love working on it.

I guess to some degree it does replace my 2500, only when I'm away from the studio.

Why, are you trying to decide if you should pick up a 500 or go with a bigger mpc??

It could...but I use it and my 1000. If I had to choose...I'd choose the 1000.

Ive been thinking of getting one would you suggest it if im going to chop on my pc i would just use the sequencer

my 500 replaces my previous model of "nothing" lol.
