real mpc pad feeling?????????

i just got my mpc this week but i am familar with them from messing with other peoples.but...... is it me or are the pads on the 500 i little tight and stiff. maybe i am not setting the right way can some one please had me with this topic. because right now im feelin like my KORG PADKONTROL has better feeling pads than this.BUT may i just don't know how to set them i've tried and they are still stiff.

Yeah that's just the way the 500's pads feel...don't worry you'll get used to it. It has it's own signature feel out of all the mpc's IMO.
