Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

When I create a sequence which uses a high bpm (say, above 150) and many "ghost" note repeats to add realism (say, fast triplets r 1/24 snare rolls), then the MPC tends to cut off long decay single hits, like a crash cymbal for example.

I am pretty sure it is not a polyphony problem, as there are never more than 4 sounds playing at the same time.

Has anyone experienced the same problem? Do you have any solution?

i get that allot actually, my drum lines usually have lots going on and that does become a problem when it cuts out a backing sample or a bass line. haven't worked out a way around it yet though

Wow, strange. I've never had this problem. I can't imagine how, but hopefully it's user error. :D

I have the same problem, for real, i hope its a user problem. in the other mode there are some settings for playing back a note in a sequence, but I changed it, and nothing seems to change  .

(sorry abot the bad English).
Is the program you use for snare monophonic? If not, "older" notes will get killed. I NEVER use the Polyphonic function, thats how i deal with this problem ;-) .
