Hey, ive been messing with the mpc standalone for a bit now, how would i go about using it as a midi controller? do i need an interface on the computer?

I just did this. The manual clearly states what to do.

Just plug it in the midi in, I believe the mpc should be already set to recieve all channels. Set up your midi channel on the mpc in the track parameters screen( I think thats where you set up you midi channel) Check your manual to be sure....but bottom line is that using a midi controller is cake, and can make playing your samples a lot easier. :D

I think he is asking about using his MPC as a MIDI controller for his computer, not about using a MIDI controller with his MPC.
