Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

im coming to the 500 from the 2000xl(zipdrive). my saving technique on the 2000 was saving a program and even unused sounds, so in the future i can always go through sounds if i need to change a kick or whatever, without having to load it.
now with the 500 i notice it only saves used sounds in programs. all the unused sounds dont get saved. is there a way i can save all the unused sounds also?

Ok let me get this straight...auto load will save the samples that are not in the program??

yeah. if u save a program, all the unused sounds dont save. but if u make an autoload folder, all the sounds save even if not assigned to a pad, and then of course load up next time u turn it on. thats exactly y i wanna save the unused sounds, so wen i turn it on it automatically loads. very helpful instead of loading up the samples after ur starting a sequence. u can just make a sequence and scroll through different samples for the same pad while its playing.
