Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500
By Levitate Sat Mar 24, 2007 7:49 am
Well, I finally saved up enough to get myself the 500. I had to sell my 2500 a while back because of money situations, but I'm finally banging pads again!!! It took a little getting used to and remembering shit, but the thing is fun, no doubt. Not sure if I could make it my ONLY MPC, but it is powerful.

If you wanna hear the beat, check out my page.

The beat is nothing special, but I know some people like to hear what the 500 sounds like.

Also, I am having one small problem with my 500. Every now and then, when I'm working on a beat, the screen just goes blank and will not come back on. It's not good at all, because if I'm trying to work on a beat, I have to turn it off and I loose everything. Anyone else have this problem/know how to fix it?

Thanks,
Iggy

Sounds great, really tight, but I think you do with a few more parts in there, change it up a bit. Bring in a new melody or something towards the end.
