Low volume issues on 500

I kind of feel like a douche, but when I wrote my review of the 500 after having it for about a week, one of the issues I mentioned was that the volume is shite. I changed the master db to 0 (it was origionally at -12) and that helped some. I also looked the other day and realized that for whatever reason my pads default level is 70. I turned them all up to 100 and the 500 gives me more sound than I will ever need now.

just a tip,
1.sample at the highest volume possible

2. change the velocity level. the factory setting is set at 70. its goes up til 100

I'm not knocking the velocity change thing but Forget about changing the velocity.. first off change the db.. go to MODE/OTHER change it to 0db, then as far as your samples.. go to MODE/TRIM scroll to EDIT/NORMALIZE.. normalize your samples and you will be just fine.. if you set the velocity for them, you'll be doing that every single time that you cut your machine back on. I have yet to find a way to save the parameters of the work i've done, but i am about to see if save entire project, saves parameters of work. I'm tired of reassigning pads, cause saving program isn't saving the parameters of the work that i've done.. holla..good luck.. make music, not war.. N.Joi
