ok you guys, ive figured out that you can load samples in the mpc 500 without pushing a pad to assign the sample to.
for example, i push mode then pad two (the load button) and i go to
load:sample
and i choose one and push the "do it" button and the mpc askas me
assign to pad: a,b,c,d
then below it it says of
looks like this for example
assign to pad: a
of
and if i just push the do it button again, instead of choosing a pad to assign the sample to it seems to overide assigning a sample to a pad because when i push the mode button then pad 6 (program) and create a new program, all the samples that i loaded up are there.
THIS is where i run into trouble.
i assign them to pads, and i record sequence 1. then when i get done with sequence 1, and switch to seqence 2, all the pads are empty and i have to reassign all of them to use sequence 2.
is there any way around this? or do i just have to say assign sample to whatever pad when in load mode.
that ish takes a long time. and it seems that you cant load as many samples that way becuase if you fill up all the pads then you can load no more.
is this feature just to enable you to load more than one set of samples per program?
its kind of annoying to have to assign all of your samples to pads before you start your project.
thanks
