Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Okay im new to the world of beatmakin and i wanna get a nice little setup to make good quality beats. all i have is an mpc 500, a mic, a desktop, and a mixer. i wanna get a keyboard but dont know which one. im lookin to spend no more then $400 right now since im a beginner and wouldnt know what to do with a 2000 dollar keyboard. any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Honestly if you are after something for everything get a Korg Micro-X or X50. The sounds will cover any genre of music plus its and awesome sound.

If you want a modelling synth as apose to a sample based then Novations are good but so is the plugins. Korg Microkorg is mind blowing, vocoder is like the korg vintage vocoder. It does fat basslines and leads. Pads are sweet, I had one for years but my Virus TI Polar replaced that and my Novation KS Rack.

thanks crash. ima look into that. and to answer ya question beshop, im lookin into doin hip-hop/r&b but i enjoy all types of music so that might change. thanks for the response peeps
