Can You record while sequence is playing?

Can you record ( Like the 1000 ) audio while the sequence is playing on the 500? IE can I record vocals in record mode while a beat is playing. I can do ths on the 1000 but I would like a portable MPC to take places with no Outlets...

Yes, mode record, do it, play start, and it's recording while playing the sequence... but you can't play the song, or change sequences while recording.
