Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hi guys
sorry about the waste of time.
I tried to rtfm but i can't get the point.

first af all, i come from the mpc1k, that was THE unit.

the problem is:

if I first "save sequence" and then switch the unit off and, again, i do a "load sequence", the mpc500 doesn't remember the program used in the loaded seq, so i have to manually load it. that's insane, cause mostly i can't remember myself wich pgm i used :(

please don't tell me to do a save entire memory, because this would lead to a duplication of all the samples.

thanks for your time and for the understanding.

yeah that shit drove me crazy too!! but i figured out a way.. I saved an entire project. I fixed the project the way I would want a master sequence to be saved. Midi notes in the right spots 36...and up, one shot on every pad, turned poly off on every pad, 100% sample volume on every pad, even the sequences and tracks are corrected.. track 1-16 is for my motif which i connected midi and 17 and up will be for whichever programs I use. I start off with loading up that entire project and then when I have a new folder with samples in it I load the folder and i assign the keys, then i change the name of the project and save it back in that same folder that I got the new samples out of.. when u load that folder back up.. everything should be proper. good luck..
