Will there ever be a JJ os for the MPC 500?

This cat I know just copped one off ebay brand new and I mean BRAND NEW for $500. I recently talked him into getting a 2000xl because he just had a motif and he was getting frustrated with the XL's learning curve so he thought that the 500 would be easier. I tried to told him about the 1000 but him no listen. Anyway he doesn't like the 500 and he is selling it and he said that he would let it go to me for $350. He brought it over and I messed around a bit and I just think it sucks. Great concept but just not well thought out. I was wondering if you guys have any inside knowledge on JJ and what they're cooking up because If I think that they would be able to make it a monster. even at $350 its just not worth it to me. I couldnt see myself getting any work done on it.
