Few questions before purchasing a MPC500

Hi! After reading the PDF manual I have few questions open:

1. Is it possible to hear loops/samples from the MPC while sampling an external synth played by the MPC's sequencer?
2. Is it possible to record mutes for constructing a song?
3. Regarding MIDI Clock: When I connect a Microkorg as slave to a Roland Fantom, the Korg's arp and delay unit are running in sync to the Fantom, even when the Fantom's sequencer does not run. Can I expect the same from the MPC500? Any positive or negative experiences regarding to sync a Korg Radias or a Microkorg as slave to the MPC?

1. yes its possible. In the rec mode

2. no, its not possible to record mutes. But however you can erase notes
anywhere indipendently without affecting other recorded notes.
In the mpc you constuct a chain of different sequences. every sequence can be arranged just how you want them.

i asked a similar question and was kind of confused by the answer i got.

can i have a sampled loop playing that ive made on my MPC and then scratch like maybe 4 bars and record it into the MPC 500 as a sample??
like can i be scratching and hearing the sample at the same time???

Yep! But not in program/sequence mode.!
