is there anyway to completly clear the ram?

the mpc 500 comes with 16mb, but it says in the manual onlye 11.5 is availabe, is there anyway to comepletly clear it to use all 16mb

That's the solution. You can also save a new project you're working on to the internal memory and replace the preset bullshit. Then it's completely gone forever. (As long as you don't use more than 1:08 stereo sample time or 2:16 mono sample time, it'll fit). This applies to machines with 16MB RAM. If you have the expansion card, then obviously you can fit more stuff in the internal memory....
