NEW MPC 500 for XMas... Now I've got Noob ?'s

Ok, first, I've only put like three samples in this thing and it says insufficient memory when I try to save other samples. Is there a way to:
1. Restore the unit to it's factory settings. Or
2. Delete all the sequences that came on the unit.

I don't understand how I am out of mem. already when there are literally 3 samples more than it came with. I have been looking for some sort of support for this thing for three days. It's crazy. Something goes wrong with my BMW, I just go online and figure it out, case closed. But my MPC is another story. Very user-UNfriendly... IMO.

Well, I read in another post to turn off Autoload, so I'll see if this works.

Look at size of your sample and do you have your card inserted it has 5MB of memory expandable to 128MB. But you need your card loaded with samples using the USB port.

It s not user unfriendly...easiest MPC of them all and I've used them all except 4K.

Take your tme and read the manual and go slow for first day or so....good luck with your 500 its an awesome machine once you READ the Manual.

Get a nice synth to go with it a mixer and maybe an effect box and your'll be making heat in 2-3 months....f softare...go hardare synth...sounds better and less CPU wear...Evolver or Korg MS 2000

So, I turned auto load off. Put sounds on the first 2 pad banks (a&B), then saved em, turned machine off and tried to load em. I named the folder "New Sounds", and the folder is there... The sounds appear to load, but nothing. What did I do wrong???

I figured it out. I had 2 folders, similar names, and opened the wrong folder, (the empty one). Everything is good... (for now.)

Cool man. One helpful tip I'm gonna throw at you: Spend some time reading your manual.

I appreciate the tip, and I am trying to read the manual, but as many people on here can vouch for me, It's not very easy to figure out, at first. And as someone else on here said, "The manual dosen't tell you how to do EVERYTHING."
