Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

As a former owner of an Electribe SX-1, I think it would be cool if the MPC 500 had motion-sequencing capabilities (besides the Q-Link Slider). But I still like this machine better than the Korg. I wonder what the "ESX-2" (or whatever they name it) will be capable of?

I had the mpc 500 and currently have both an mpc 2500 and Korg electribe ESX-1. I love the ESX-1 but if I had to choose between the 500 and the ESX I would no doubt choose the 500. I will say that the ESX adds a overall warmth to samples that you just won't get from the mpc 500 IMO. I think the distinct sound it gives comes from the tube gain and it's converters.
