MPC500 resets when hit pad 6

Hey y'all,

Just trying to work out the velocity tuning setting and was hitting my pads quite hard (I know, probably too hard.... ), but when I strike pad 6 too hard, the machine resets! And I had a decent beat going too... Anyone else had this problem (won't try too much longer, but only seems to be pad 6)...

Dunno if anyone else has this problem, but the batteries are not very snug in the battery compartment, and I think the problem only occurs when using batteries so......

I am thinking if I strike the pads firmly (I am not whacking it or anything!) then perhaps the connection on the batteries is lost and power cuts out. Not had a chance to test this out as I am out of batteries at the mo (it seems to eat em for breakfast!) but the problem does seem to have gone away since using the power supply.

Got my 0.5k second hand so not sure what my guarantee with AKAI would be... anyone know?

if you can call the people that you got it from and get the recipt i think it would be ok!
