mpc 500 and KP Mini?

I have just bought my first mpc and would like to know wether you could link a kaoss pad mini to the output and back into the mpcs input for adding effects to samples. This would be great if it is possible as they are both battery operated. Thanks Jato

Connect the mpc500 OUTPUTS to the INPUT on the Kaoss Mini. Then connect your monitors/headphones to the OUTPUT/HEADPHONE OUT on the Kaoss mini. You should then be able to use various effects like that. You could also reample the sounds right back into the mpc by taking the OUTPUT on the Kaoss to the RECORD IN on your mpc.

Is it possible to resample like that on the 500? When I go to record mode it is not possible to play the mpc at the same time.

Thanks nicole that seems like a solution to the lack of effects on the 500. To clarify I can hit a pad while touching the kaoss pad and the effected sound will be record as a new file in the mpc?

You need to change the INPUT to MAIN. That way you can record the samples from the main output. The same with his situation. In the Record screen he needs to change it to MAIN.
