changing songs into sequences properlly

Yeah I turned a bunch of sequences into a song, and when I put it on the computer it sounded like garbage....all the samples were different...In the book it says somethin about making sure all you tracks and programs are the same, I don't understand the book doesn't help, can someone just explain some opitions,or advice possibly...

I had the same problems. Read my post "Converting songs into sequence". Basically, you can only use one program and it is wise to keep all of your tracks in the same order on every sequence.

Here's a problem I came across: If you have multiple sequences with more than one program assigned to your various tracks and you convert your song to sequence, you only have control over the tracks in the first sequence of your song. You end up being stuck on one program, so you get false notes and samples that come in where they shouldn't (because the "note on" data is still saved for all of your sequences). I usually end up having to copy all of my sequences and mute out/erase different things in each sequence. So in a situation where I may only "need" 4 sequences, I end up having to make 8 to 10 different sequences. That way, I don't have to convert my song to sequence. Has anyone else noticed this?

what do you mean by 'putting on the computer'? is there a way of putting all your trax on a computer in a convenient way with midi seq and programs?

Sorry I am confused? Are u saying that each sequence must consist of one program and then
you can convert the multiple sequences from song mode into a sequence properly?

Why not just insert a program change event in each track? Simple...
