Can´t turn the Programms off

In the manual it says i should go to programm assign (sequence>Track>Params), and then in the lower param field, i can select the onboard programms like ?CDS,DJ-Hip_Set,Sunny_Set... but there is no way to turn these programms off ?! How can I do this ?

plug your mpc into your computer and then delete that shit!


i think thats how i did it, i cant remember for sure, but im pretty sure.

If you rotate the data wheel in either direction for long enough, you will see an "OFF" option for program assign.

Yes that´s how they say in manual too, but the off option is not coming !! I only can change those loaded presets, but there is no off option coming ?? Is it a bug ?

The "OFF" option is at the counter clockwise extreme of the list (ie 3,2,1,OFF) on my machine. If its not on yours then it is a fault with the machine rather than a general fault with the OS. Are you running os 1.13?

I am at work at the minute and youtube is blocked so can't watch your vid. But in track mode, if you press "params" it brings up a series of options. Use the data wheel and select program assign on the top line. Move the cursor to the bottom line where your programs are listed (I name mine 1,2,3 etc but listed here will be whatever yours are called) and dial the data wheel counterclockwise (to the left). The "Off" option will be at the extreme of this list. Its all on p25 of the manual... (revC)

I solved the problem turning "Autoload" to "OFF" on the LOAD MODE menu. Then switch off and switch on the MPC500. Now the MPC does not autoload the programs and the sequences at startup. You can load or create a sequence from scratch, and then you can switch "program assign" to "OFF" value. I think it is a bug in the presets, not in the OS.
