Able to connect a midi footswitch to the mpc500?

Hey Board,

I was curious if anyone had been successful controlling the mpc500 with a midi footswitch- I'm using it for live performance, and need to be able to use a footswitch for start/stop.

If you have, what footswitch do you use, and how do you get the mpc to recognize it?
