Note repeat question

Can you change the speed of the note repeat on the MPC500 (or any of the mpc's) once the note repeat has started. Say I start it with TC set at 1/16 and then want to speed it up once it has started repeating. Can I do that?

I dont believe that is possible man... :oops:

But almost anything can be done on the 500 man just gotta find ways to get around it.
You would just have to record at one TC on "Track 1" then on "track 2" change the TC then record that and so on...

So no it aint possible to do it all on one track but you can do this by recording on multiple tracks and changing the TC on each one.

I really believe in this statement, BUT, people be
dreaming up some off the wall stuff most of the time.

Like since it has usb can it do webcam beats, wtf.

I think there's a way to beat the machine in a certain way. Just record a long sample, consisting of repeated notes. Then go to Q-Link and assign the slider to TUNING. You can adjust the range parameters and then experiment by hitting a pad and moving the slider. Well, I haven't tried it yet, as the idea has just struck. Still, hope it works.

err, you can do it,..
hold down a pad, hold down note repeat, simultaniously hold down the timing correct button have the cursor in the tc filed then turn the jog wheel. works stopped, in record and playback. i use this feature a lot.

Yes, just hold down the note repeat, then hold down the selected pad. Now (with these two held down) press the timing correct and turn the dial. That does it!
